Hold You In Heaven
© 1993 and 2006 by Susie Krauter
A little life was growing
within a young girls’ womb
It’s heart was not yet beating
But it would be very soon
From outside the safe warm quarters
Someone came to invade
And the safe and loving womb
Became a hurting, killing place
Little child don’t cry someone loves you
Past your painful death there is a better place
Many loving arms wait to hold you
Hold you in Heaven
A woman’s heart is aching
Her child she could have known
She believed the lie and took a life
About five years ago
If he were alive today
He would be in school
Climbing up trees an’ runnin’ from bees
His pain, her pain
She was fooled
now she cries
Little child don’t cry someone loves you
Past your painful death there is a better place
Mama’s longing arms wait to hold you
Hold you in Heaven
I can see it now
There’s a nursery in Heaven
An’ the babies sleep while the angels rock and sing
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Little child don’t cry someone loves you
Past your painful death there is a better place
Many loving arms wait to hold you
Hold you in Heaven
